How big are the dumpsters?
We currently offer 17-yard bins. They measure 8 feet wide, 12 feet long, and 6 feet tall.
Why is it called a "roll-off" dumpster?
The term "roll-off dumpster" comes from the way the dumpster is off-loaded onto your driveway… they “roll off” the back of the truck. These roll-off dumpsters actually go by many names, including garbage dumpsters, trash dumpsters, or construction dumpsters. They are also sometimes referred to as roll-off bins, trash containers, construction containers, etc.
How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?
Rental pricing varies based on your location. The residential rental fee includes drop off, pick up, 10 days of rental time, & one ton of trash. The contractor rental fee includes drop off, pick up, and 21-day rental. There is also a fee for each additional ton of trash. For prices, please see our Pricing page.
How long can I keep a dumpster rental?
Residential rentals are 10 days and contractor rentals are 21 days. If the dumpster is needed longer, there is an additional per day fee for both residential and contractor rentals.
Will I be billed if I go over the included tonnage?
Yes. Each dumpster rental has a base tonnage included, and a fee for each additional ton. The over-tonnage fee is based on your location. More information can be found in the rental forms on the Pricing page.
Are there items I cannot put in a rental dumpster? Do some items incur additional charges?
Generally, anything that is of a hazardous nature may not be put in a rental dumpster. This includes, but is not limited to:
Please note that while we will accept heavy items such as dirt or concrete, bins can not exceed 7-8 tons (about 1/3 of a dumpster filled with concrete or dirt). If the bin exceeds 7-8 tons, our driver may need to reject the load.
Below is a list of items you may put in our rental dumpsters, but the disposal costs are not included with your rental. These items will incur additional fees on your final invoice. You must notify us at the time of rental or when scheduling the dumpster pick up that you have or will put these items in the dumpster.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
Possibly. If you are placing the dumpster in your driveway, we recommend placing 4′ x 8′ sheets of plywood on the driveway for the dumpster to sit on. We are not responsible for driveway damage.
What if I fill the dumpster before my rental period is over?
Our rental fee includes one delivery and pickup. If you need another dumpster, we are happy to arrange a new rental. Also, you don't have to keep the dumpster for the full rental time. We can pick up the dumpster earlier, if needed. Please call our friendly office staff at 801-426-7600.
Do I need to be present for my dumpster delivery?
It is preferred. However, if we are given clear instruction of where you would like the dumpster to be left, we may be able to arrange for an unattended drop-off. There is a charge for our driver to move a dumpster once it has been placed.
What do the dumpsters look like?
Our dumpsters are orange and have an open top. They also have a door on the back, which makes them easy to load.
Can I place the dumpster on the street?
Maybe. You need to check with your local municipality. Permits may be required.
